Providence Investment Partners Announces a Debt and Equity Investment in Butler Weldments

June 27, 2025

Dallas, TX – Providence Investment Partners (“Providence”) is pleased to announce its debt and equity investment in Butler Weldments (“Butler”). The financing, completed in February 2025 in partnership with CIC Partners, supported Ghost Capital’s strategic investment in Butler to support its continued growth.

Founded in 1947, Butler fabricates major metal components that are primarily used in the manufacturing of U.S. Navy submarines and warships as well as the commercial sector. Capabilities include welding and fabrication, CNC machining, stress relief, finishing, and other value-added services. National security priorities and the need to modernize an aging submarine fleet are expected to drive demand for the foreseeable future.

“Butler has an excellent reputation of being a trusted, qualified supplier for both the U.S. Navy and commercial sector,” said Providence’s Kevin Glomb. “Through a combination of organic investment and potential acquisitions, we are thrilled to partner with the team at Butler and Ghost Capital to further enhance Butler’s capabilities and product offerings.”

Butler is actively seeking add-on opportunities in large-scale, heavy fabrication, precision machining, forging, casting, and contract manufacturing and engineering markets.
